Danny.A James MG cool index scripture index

This is the most basic template possible. We are using no style sheets and no meta-data. Every single item is defined in the head and used in the body. This text was outside the original [div]. So that made me think, [div]'s should not have a predetermined size. I have spent hours and hours trying to clean up some ancient code and get my buttons to work properly. The javascript will change the color of the buttons and the text inside. On the more elagant pages, we were only changing the background. I found that you have to change the text color in the script function itself. My orignial buttons only had doRollover for both mouseover and mouseout. I made two separate functions. Also, I noticed that since my code refers back to the parent.node my buttons were changing the entire background. So, I nested them inside a table. - Now, if you go up just one level - only the 'button's background changes [td bgcolor="#yessir"]. All other attempts would result in undesired behavior. I tried pre-defined style elments and html style overrides to no avail. Also, even thouh the text color changes from the funciton - you have to include some text color in the function call as a 'place-holder.' I tried removing 'color' from my function with unexpected results. For som unknown reason, doRollover1(this) combined with a correct doRollover2 (elem,color,rollover_color); will semi-work. However, the hover color is always green - pretty close to the shade #00ff00. I used this color on one button AFTER discovering it was the default. Notice the same behavior happens on jmg electrical even though that color is nowhere in its function call.

Is the text the same size outside the table as inside the table? It should be! [h1] was defined in my head and should correspond to 30px text either way. Of note, the longest item of a table determins the table size. Even, the:

Is the normal text inside the table the size it should be? That is 22px - same as this text and the text im my header. Blank div's thick with thick black borders really help you see where things need padding or how you can best center your items. They make for a good template. I don't know what I am trying to say. I just know that scoring up the screen is really helping me feel like this page is coming together.

In closing, I have found sleeker and even more elegant ways to make buttons since the original ‘purge’ of this 2016.t4c code. However, I thought it 'just felt necessary' to use some of the original code. I managed to put the first few pages of the essay and the whole 'brainwash' webpage on the columns above this section. I will admit that the introductory paragraph has been heavily edited in this revision. I did not do this for a change of opinion or a different theological representation of the information. It was just poorly worded. I could see the connections and parallels that 16yo me was trying to make, but they were not explicitly there. Furthermore, I do not know if you noticed my earlier quip about ‘agonizing over this page’s name…’ Well, the problem was that Page 2 was 1999’s [2004’s] ‘brainwash’ page [so I wanted a 2 in the title]. This website has more content than the original. I fiddled with the naming scheme and added a .00 - introduction and a .02A - Danny tribute. Bam! Here we are 2022.t4c.pg.02B - neuro-cleansing essay on page 2.
